LINks - working with the voluntary sector

National Voices recently held a workshop in central London entitled 'LINks – working with the voluntary sector'. Sixty-three participants attended the event, including members of LINks, LINk host organisations, local voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations who were and who were not engaged with their local LINks, and national groups.
The aim of the day was to identify ways of raising awareness and stimulating the active engagement of the voluntary sector in LINks at a local level. The report from the event can be found here.
Report on LINks and the national voluntary and community sector
In mid-2009 National Voices facilitated a select workshop of 8 stakeholder group representatives to scope out how Local Involvement Networks (LINks) are working with national voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations in England. The session aimed to develop methods for engagement with LINks countrywide; identify and promote the opportunities that such organisations could gain from engagement with LINKs, and finally to ensure national voluntary organisations (where applicable, and in liaison with their local chapter) make valuable contributions to LINks.
