High impact actions to create person-centred care: Webinar for voluntary sector, patients and carers

An opportunity for voluntary sector organisations, patients and carers to have their say

9–10am Thursday 3 November 2016

NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens has commissioned the People and Communities Board (PCB) to propose a concise set of high impact interventions, approaches or methodologies which would help create more person-centred, community focused health and care, as set out in the Six Principles for engaging people and communities.

We need to know what interventions or changes will make the most difference, and how these could be implemented.

The People and Communities Board has worked with a range of organisations to start to develop a set of proposals. The Board is keen to work with a wider group of voluntary sector organisations, patients, service users and carers to test these and develop them further.

This is your opportunity to inform the final recommendations.

During this webinar, we will be asking:

  • What are the enablers and barriers to delivering person-centred care?
  • What should be done to spread take-up of person and community centred approaches?
  • What should be avoided?
  • What happens at the front line currently?

People and Communities Board

The People and Communities Board is one of a number of programme boards established following publication of the Five Year Forward View. One part of the remit is to ensure that person-centred care and community-centred services are embedded in the Five Year Forward View programme. National Voices chief executive, Jeremy Taylor, chairs the People and Communities Board and secretariat is delivered by National Voices staff.
