David is Head of Campaigns and Policy at Mencap and a regular Mencap spokesman on learning disability issues.

Angela Coulter

Angela is an independent consultant and expert in patient and public involvement in healthcare. She is former Chief Executive of Picker Institute Europe, has published extensively, and advised the WHO, European Commission, Department of Health and many other professional and voluntary organisations.

Steven Fisher

Following a serious RSI injury, Steven founded RSI Action in February 2006, to campaign for better prevention and treatment of RSI conditions.  He has been the chairman of the trustees since inception.

Darryl Gibbings-Isaac

Darryl is a foundation year doctor working in obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, and colorectal surgery.  He currently sits on negotiating committees at both hospital and regional levels, designed to be an interface between doctors and management.

Jeremy Hughes (Chair)

Jeremy is Chief Executive of Alzheimer's Society, he was previously Chief Executive of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, directed various External Affairs, Marketing & Communications functions with both International and British Red Cross, Leonard Cheshire and Muscular Distrophy organisations.

Robert Johnstone

Robert is Chair of Access Matters, a pan disability consultancy working on the premise that encouraging accessible environments and culture enhances the workplace for employees and improves service delivery to customers.

Zoё Matthews

Zoё is Health & Improvement Manager for Friends, Families and Travellers, an organisation which seeks to address the problems facing all Travellers and Gypsies, regardless of ethnicity, culture or background.

Ros Meek

Ros is Director of the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA).  A nurse by training, Ros has previously worked at the Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association (CPHVA), the Royal College of Nursing and at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

Mike Mercer (Treasurer)

Mike is a retired Treasury civil servant.   He has sat on a number of voluntary boards and joined the National Voices Interim Board as Treasurer in September 2009.

Mike O'Donovan

Mike is former chair of the  Long term Conditions Alliance and former Chief Executive of the MS Society.  Before that, he pursued a thirty-year career in industry, holding top posts in the UK   and overseas.

Julia Oliver

Julia is Head of Charities Practice at Odgers Berndtson and has worked in executive recruitment for the public and voluntary sectors for the last 9 years.  She has recently stepped down from the Board of Brain Tumour UK, leading on the HR brief for 7 years.
