Interim Senior Communications Officer

EC4Y, London
£28,000-£32,000 fte
Closing date:
Tue, 18 June 2019

National Voices is seeking an all-round experienced communications professional to start as soon as possible, to manage all our communications channels.

National Voices is the coalition of charities that stands for people being in control of their health and care. With 160 member organisations, we carry out a broad range of work to improve policy and practice and to support the voluntary sector – all with the aim of ensuring that services are built around people’s needs and goals. We are well-respected, influential, and have a reputation for punching above our weight.

You will be available for an immediate start. This could be for part of the working week initially, but then quickly building up to full time for the remainder of the contract through 2019. This will enable handover and continuity from the current postholder who has achieved external promotion.

You will become part of a small, dynamic and high achieving executive team running the leading membership coalition of health and care charities, where communications are designed to inform and engage members, promote person centred care, influence policy leaders, build alliances, and promote an expanding portfolio of support to good practice.

You will have responsibility and lots of creative autonomy for our website, social media presence, electronic newsletters, brand management and event organisation, and for handling media enquiries and releases.

In order for us to find someone for an immediate start, applications will be assessed and candidates interviewed on a rolling basis. We therefore encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible but by 23.59 on 18 June 2019 at the latest.
