Crohn’s and Colitis UK have recently launched their Crohn's and Colitis Companion website. The Companion has a wealth of easy-to-find information for people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and their family, carers and friends.
The Companion is for all affected by Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) whether they are newly diagnosed or have been living with the condition for a while. The site provides reliable and relevant information that helps people to find answers to their questions, access support and take control. The Companion can also be used by those concerned about, or caring for someone living with IBD.
The Companion has sections detailing information related to symptoms and managing these, the different drug, treatment and care options available, living with IBD long term, and information on where to find support. It also has information for carers, including specific information for those caring for a child with IBD. The information on support available gives several options to those using the site, including information around the Crohn’s and Colitis helpline, peer support groups and networks in their area, and ways to connect online including through forums and social media.
