Inequalities and Personalisation

National Voices will be welcoming Neil Churchill, Rich Watts and Bev Taylor to talk about Health Inequalities on 8 October 2019 at the National Voices' offices.

  • Health inequalities

The theme of this event will be Health Inequalities and will build on the discussions that took place at our first Inequalities Network meeting that was held in June. We are changing things slightly and opening up our networks so that anyone who is interested in the theme or the speaker at an event can join the conversation.

We have acted on conversations that were had at the initial Inequalities meeting and will be welcoming Rich Watts and Bev Taylor from NHSE to talk to us about the plans in the universal personalised care plan to tackle health inequalities and discuss how we can influence this work as a coalition. We also have secured Neil Churchill to talk about his responsibilities and programmes as part of the Experience, Participation and Equalities Directorate.

Finally, we would like to discuss an idea generated by one of our members Niamh Keller, Policy Manager- Health Inequalities at Macmillan Cancer Support around work on the Marmot review that Macmillan are involved in. You can find out more about this work here
