The unequal impact of the crisis on mental health

We know that there is a link between poverty and poor mental health, which Covid-19 and the lockdown have no doubt exacerbated. We will look explore the key issues, and identify opportunities for collaboration and advocacy for us as a sector.

Speakers and Full Agenda TBC

This webinar is part of a series National Voices’ Covid Conversations focusing on the impact of Covid-19 on health inequalities. Bringing together colleagues from across the health and care VCSE and beyond.

We share information, discuss key issues, and identify actions to take forward. Topics include the disproportionate ethnic impact of Covid-19 on BAME people, how charities can cope as need increases but the economy declines, food insecurity and anxiety, and the widening digital divide. These gaps need urgent attention and policy solutions. We have been delighted to be joined by hundreds of people from over 100 organisations.

The webinars inform National Voices work. They inspired Our COVID Voices, a website where people with ongoing health needs can share their experiences, and led to our Joint statement on Covid-19.

You can see the full schedule here. We look forward to hearing your views and contributions on the webinar.

All of our webinar recordings will be available to watch on our YouTube channel after the webinar has finished.
