Health and Wellbeing Alliance – Case Studies
Evidencing Best Practice of the NICE Guidelines on Integrated Care for People Experiencing Homelessness
The Homeless Health Consortium developed a series of case studies demonstrating best practice in inclusion health and implementation of the NICE Guidelines on Integrated Care for People Experiencing Homelessness (NG216). The work provided evidence and recommendations to support policy development, including contributions to government work on homelessness, health inequalities and service integration. You can find the case studies here.
Impact of Involving People with Lived Experience of Digital Barriers in a Co-design Project
Forward Carers and the Good Things Foundation partnered in a co-design project exploring barriers to accessing digital health services. Through workshops with unpaid carers, participants contributed insights on digital inclusion, service accessibility and trust in digital health services. Feedback demonstrated the value of involving people with lived experience in service design, while also helping Forward Carers improve the accessibility of their own digital support and assessment processes. LGBT+ Health Evidence Review
The LGBT Partnership supported community organisations and LGBTQ+ individuals to contribute evidence to the LGBT+ Health Evidence Review. Acting as an intermediary, the Partnership reduced barriers to participation, coordinated evidence submissions and co-facilitated engagement events. The project enabled wider community involvement, generating substantial evidence and ensuring lived experience perspectives informed the review’s findings and recommendations. Talking Faith in Suicide Prevention
This project by Faith Action explored the relationship between faith, belief and suicide prevention across six faith communities. Working with people with lived experience, the project co-produced Talking Faith in Suicide Prevention, a faith literacy resource for frontline workers. The resource helps professionals understand faith-related perspectives on suicide, engage sensitively in conversations about faith, and strengthen links with faith and community organisations. Whole Family Approaches to Children and Young People Social Prescribing
Barnardo’s worked with Health and Wellbeing Alliance partners and a consortium of voluntary and community organisations to identify the key elements of effective social prescribing for children and young people. The project explored how integrated care systems and neighbourhood services can better involve grassroots organisations, supporting whole-family approaches and strengthening community-based support for children and young people.
