The organisation does this by providing information for patients and relatives on intensive care, recovery and coming to terms with surviving critical illness. It also provides resources for critical care professionals to help improve the patient experience and lessen the impact of surviving intensive care. The organisation was established in 2005 and became a registered charity in 2006.
