CJ Nwasike
Policy and Projects Officer
CJ joined National Voices in November 2025.
He is a mental health nurse, having worked for the NHS in various settings, including mental health triage, acute and community settings. His areas of interest patient safety, health inequalities, digital health and mental health. He is passionate about improving health outcomes through equitable and efficient systems.
In conjunction with his present role at National Voices, he works as a mental health nurse for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust; where he maintains clinical practice, while contributing to policy and research across various specialisms. Prior to this, CJ worked as a Policy & Research Trainee at The King’s Fund.
CJ sits on the NIHR-KCL Health & Social Care Workforce Panel, with research themes around workforce development and service improvement. Previous roles include RCN International Committee member, focusing on global nursing policy research and advocacy (2022-2023). He has volunteered on the NuRS & AmRes Joint Steering Committee, conducting research into relationships between nurse retention and patient outcomes.
