Submission to the Health and Social Care Select Committee Inquiry on ‘Delivering core NHS and care services during the pandemic and beyond’
We have been working with our members since the start of this crisis to identify and respond to the challenges people living with ongoing health and care needs are facing. We are regularly briefing system leaders (NHSE&I, CQC, RCGP, NHSX, DHSC) about what our members tell us needs to be sorted out for those with health conditions or disabilities.

Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are a genuine opportunity to ensure the health and care needs of people are fulfilled in a co-ordinated, person-centred way that puts the individual in control of their own health. We work to ensure this promise can be realised by encouraging system to shape services according to holistic need and involving the local community.

We know that remote ways of delivering care work for many people, but they have made exclusion worse for others. Digital should always form part of a choice that people are offered rather than being the sole option.

Share for Better Care
The Share for Better Care campaign, launched by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Healthwatch England in collaboration with National Voices and a range of other excellent partners, aims to encourage everyone to give feedback on their experiences of care, particularly people more likely to experience poorer care and inequalities who are less likely to give their feedback.
