Jacob Lant, Chief Executive of National Voices, responds to the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan

Today, National Voices launches a new report, signed and endorsed by over 50 health and care charities, which sets out a vision for the future of primary care.

In mid-April National Voices submitted a response to the Health and Social Care Select Committee’s Expert Panel on the Evaluation of the Government’s Commitments in the Area of Pharmacy in England.

On 22 March the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Health (APHG) met to discuss the Major Conditions Strategy, and hear from key voices from the health and care sector on the views on the strategy, including National Voices’ Sarah Sweeney.

Today, Jacob Lant, formerly Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research and Insight at Healthwatch has joined the National Voices team as Chief Executive.

National Voices have published a joint statement, supported by 85 patient charities and professional bodies, calling on the Government to commit to a comprehensive and fully-resourced response to the serious challenges faced by the NHS and social care workforce, which continue to badly impact the experiences of people accessing health and care.
